The reinterpretation of the design classic Becker Mexico is a result of general research on car radios and focuses on the harmonisation of front layout and interface as well as maintaining characteristical features. Here, the flashy white lines are translated into subtle grooves which are becoming the grid for the interface behind it. To retain the iconic car radio look, the two turning knobs stay on the front panel but have become more advanced.  Besides being turnable they can also be pushed and pulled and one of the knobs is even split to be be operated on two layers.
Project was developed during my studies at HfG Gmünd.
