PutPut is a portable audio device to make music in an experimental way. It's also the creature of a new product topology as sound inPut and outPut, current hard- and software technologies are coming together in one completed system.
Parts of the system are three microphones, which also function as MIDI controllers, and a main unit that contains speakers and processes all audio data. The musican/player can first use the microphone, to record and loop his own voice. In MIDI mode the microphone turns into a controller that reacts on gestures. Now he can select sound filters to modify the just recorded track by moving around with his hand.
People, also those without the capability of playing a classical instrument, can take PutPut to create music and make astonishing electronical sounds in a jam session like setting.
